The Middle of the Day Blindness | Why Washington, Voting, and Civil Rights Can Never Save Us

We are a people groping in the dark, wondering why every door we kick down leads to another brick wall.

We march, we petition, we check the boxes on the ballots, and we wait for the promised change. We demand reparations, equal treatment, and systemic justice from institutions that were built on our subjugation. Yet, despite decades of political mobilization, billions of dollars poured into campaigns, and an endless cycle of charismatic leaders promising a brighter tomorrow, the reality on the ground remains unchanged. We are economically spoiled, socially oppressed, and spiritually fractured.

The question we must ruthlessly confront is this: Why do our ways never prosper?

The answer isn't a political failure or a lack of funding. The answer is found in an ancient, unbreakable, divine diagnosis written in the Torah long before our ancestors ever set foot on these shores.

The Diagnosis: Groping at Noonday

In Deuteronomy, the Most High laid out the exact spiritual mechanics of our current national reality. He didn’t just predict our oppression; He explained the precise psychological and systemic paralysis that would grip us if we abandoned His covenant:

“And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.” — Deuteronomy 28:29

Consider the imagery of this verse. To grope at "noonday" means to be completely blind in the peak of the light. The sun is shining, the path should be clear, yet we are stumbling around like men trapped in a dark cave.

This is the perfect description of our modern political and social movements. We have more access to information, more college degrees, and more political representation than ever before. We have leaders in high places, politicians who look like us, and laws on the books designed to "protect" us. The "light" of human progress is supposedly at its peak.

Yet, we are still groping.

We try integration; it fails. We try economic black nationalism; it gets dismantled. We try voting for the Left; they look past us. We try voting for the Right; they ignore us. We are running in circles because we are under a divine decree: "Thou shalt not prosper in thy ways." When the Most High says your ways will not prosper, it means no human strategy, no legislative bill, and no executive order can override His word.

The Cause: The Departure from the Voice

We look at our suffering and assume it is merely the result of other nations being wicked. But the Torah reveals a much harsher, more profound truth: our unique suffering is the direct consequence of our departure from the voice of YAH.

“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of YAH thy Elohim, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:” — Deuteronomy 28:15

The moment our people turned aside from the words commanded to us, veering to the right hand or to the left to go after the gods, philosophies, and lifestyles of the nations, we entered into a covenant of correction.

We expected to act like the other nations and still receive the protection of the Creator. It doesn't work that way. The extra-biblical restrictions by man and the yokes of men sometimes cause a person to turn from the law entirely, driving them straight into the arms of secularism and worldly politics. But when we turn away from His perfect laws, statutes, and judgments, we inherit a level of systemic affliction that other nations don't have to face. We are being measured by a different standard because we were chosen for a different purpose.

The Illusion of the Political Savior

Our fundamental error is that we keep looking for a human savior. We look to the next election cycle as if a change in administration can break a spiritual curse.

Let the scripture speak plainly: "...and no man shall save thee.”

  • Politicians cannot save us, because they are bound by the very systems designed to keep us oppressed.
  • Voting cannot save us, because you cannot vote your way out of a divine judgment.
  • Civil rights and equal treatment cannot save us, because men cannot grant you the dignity that you rejected when you walked away from YAH.

We will never get true freedom, authentic justice, or divine reparations from a system that is currently acting as the instrument of our correction. Expecting Washington D.C. to heal the wounds of Israel is like a patient asking the executioner for medicine.

The Solution: The Turning of the Remnant

If politics is a dead end, where is our hope? Our savior is not a person, a party, or a policy. Our salvation lies exclusively in turning back to YAH and His laws.

The liberation of our people has never depended on the majority; it depends on the awakening of a dedicated, broken, and repentant minority. The scriptures guarantee that the path to restoration must pass through a fiery refinement of a remnant:

“And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith YAH, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, YAH is my Elohim.” Zechariah 13:8-9

Look closely at the final declaration of the refined remnant: "YAH is my Elohim."

Notice what they do not say. They do not cry out to Jesus, Allah, Buddha, or the almighty dollar. They do not substitute His set-apart name with human titles or rabbinic placeholders like Adonai or Ha-Shem.

To be part of that surviving "third part," the remnant must explicitly renounce the deities, the religious philosophies, and the political idols of the nations. We cannot claim to return to true worship while still bowing our knees to the theological concepts handed down to us by our oppressors. True worship requires calling upon the exact Name He revealed to us, unadulterated by human tradition.

The refinement is painful, but it is purposeful. The "third part" is the remnant that stops groping in the midday sun. They are the ones who look at the broken promises of civil rights, the empty rhetoric of political parties, and the hollow victories of worldly integration, and say, “Enough,” and finally strip away the false gods of their captivity.

They stop asking the nations for permission to exist and start asking YAH for forgiveness for violating His covenant. They return to the pure, unadulterated laws of the Torah, not the heavy, unbiblical traditions added by men, but the perfect, life-giving instructions of the Most High.

Conclusion: Drop the Ballots, Pick Up the Law

We have spent generations marching toward an illusion. We have worn ourselves out trying to fix a broken world when we should have been fixing our broken relationship with our Creator.

The political carousel will keep spinning. Candidates will come and go, making the same empty promises, and our communities will remain under the weight of oppression and spoilation as long as we seek salvation from the hands of men or the gods of the earth.

It is time to wake up, Jacob. The solution is not in a voting booth; it is in your home, on your knees, and in your heart. We must drop the unbiblical yokes of human ideologies and return to the ancient paths. When the remnant finally turns, utterly casts aside the idols of the nations, ceases to grope in the dark, and calls upon the true name of YAH in truth and obedience, He will hear us. He will claim us as His people, and only then will we know true, unbreakable freedom.

Elohim still loves you, Israel. The call remains the same: Choose Life, Choose Blessing, Choose Undivided Devotion. Repent, Return, and be free from the shadows of gross darkness.
