We move out of the heat of the Refiner’s Fire and step into the cool, quiet sanctuary of the Sabbath. This is not just a day off; it is a day of being rather than doing .   🌅 Morning (Hearing Heart) Almighty YAH, on your holy Shabbat day, the world is loud and busy as usual, but Your presence is found in the stillness. On this day of rest, give me a hearing heart to simply be in Your presence. Let my soul cease its striving and find its home in You. I acknowledge that the universe continues to turn because of Your hand, not mine. I surrender my need to produce and accept Your gift of refreshment. The Arrival: Sacred Stillness Find a seat where you can see the sky or a bit of nature. Close your eyes. Breathe in deeply, acknowledging that the very breath in your lungs is a gift from the Creator. As you exhale, imagine the "doing" of the past six days evaporating. You are no longer a producer, a worker, or a problem-solver. Today, you are simply a soul standing in the light of the Infinite. "Be still, and know that I am Elohim." (Psalm 46:10) The Soul-Search: Relinquishing the Burden The greatest thief of Sabbath joy is the illusion of control. We carry the weight of the world because we forget Who truly upholds it. The Weight: Identify one situation you are trying to "fix" or "manage" right now. The Release: In your mind, release that burden into the vastness of the heavens. The day has ended - the night season has set, and the week draws to a close, find ten minutes of silence before the sabbath morning and ask yourself these four questions, and be brutally honest - Elohim already knows the answers, He's just waiting for you to say them out loud. 1. The Wisdom Check The Question: Where this week did I lean on my own "intellectual brilliance" or "logic" to justify a decision, instead of seeking a hearing heart? The Verse: "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear YAH and depart from evil." (Proverbs 3:7) 2. The Compromise Audit The Question: Did I make any "small" concessions to worldly influence, for example, lying for financial gain or to avoid responsibility or accountability, gossiping, or a moment of greed thinking it wouldn't matter? Focus: Repentance and Preparing the Heart. As the sun rises on the final day of the workweek, we enter the most intense and beautiful part of our rhythm. Day six is the day of the Refining Fire . It is the day we prepare the sanctuary of our souls to receive the Sabbath tomorrow. Refining isn't about destruction; it's about removal. It's the process of heating the metal until the dross - the pride, the doubt, the divided loyalties - rises to the surface so it can be skimmed away, leaving only the pure reflection of the Creator. 🌅 Morning (Hearing Heart) Almighty YAH, refine my heart as silver is refined.
