🔥 The Yom Shishah (Friday) Night "Fire of Refinement" Reflection
The day has ended - the night season has set, and the week draws to a close, find ten minutes of silence before the sabbath morning and ask yourself these four questions, and be brutally honest - Elohim already knows the answers, He's just waiting for you to say them out loud.
1. The Wisdom Check
- The Question: Where this week did I lean on my own "intellectual brilliance" or "logic" to justify a decision, instead of seeking a hearing heart?
- The Verse: "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear YAH and depart from evil." (Proverbs 3:7)
2. The Compromise Audit
- The Question: Did I make any "small" concessions to worldly influence, for example, lying for financial gain or to avoid responsibility or accountability, gossiping, or a moment of greed thinking it wouldn't matter? What "shadow" is currently following me because of it?
- The Verse: "Order my steps in Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me." (Psalm 119:133)
3. The Idol Inquiry
- The Question: What did I worry about most this week? Whatever we worry about most is often what we have made into an idol. Did I trust my bank account, my reputation, or my own strength more than the Rock of Israel?
- The Verse: "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their faces." (Ezekiel 14:3)
4. The Relational Reconciliation
- The Question: Am I entering the Sabbath with a grudge? Who do I need to forgive, or to whom do I need to apologize, so that my heart is undivided when I stand before YAH?
- The Verse: "You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Leviticus 19:18)
🕊️ The Transition: From Fire to Rest
Once you have answered these questions, do not dwell in the guilt. The fire is meant to refine, not to consume. Take those "shadows," name them, and give them to YAH.
The Action Step:
Literally wash your hands. As the water runs, imagine the week’s compromises and stresses being washed away. Step into the Sabbath clean, lighter, and ready to simply be with the Creator.
Elohim still loves you, Israel. The call remains the same: Choose Life, Choose Blessing, Choose Undivided Devotion. Repent, Return, and be free from the shadows of gross darkness.
