Prayer Before Torah Study
Almighty YAH,
As we open the books of the law, we pray for clarity, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of Your Word that can be found in the holy scriptures from Genesis to Malachi. We ask that Your Spirit illuminate each Word, not just to grasp them, but to truly hear them, as our ancestors heard them in the wilderness, making them real and relevant to our lives today. Guide our hearts and minds, that we may not just learn, but truly live out Your truth in righteousness and holiness. Let your words permeate throughout our lives. Let us be a walking testimony of your faithfulness, and a guiding light to your commands.
May these timeless truths speak fresh to our hearts today. Help us to see Your character, Your faithfulness, and Your unwavering love woven through every narrative, every law, and every prophecy. Let Your wisdom guide our thoughts and transform our perspectives. Let Your understanding guide our feet and direct our paths, and let Your knowledge guide our actions and enlighten our hearts.
We pray that this study won't just be about acquiring knowledge, but about encountering You. May Your word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, drawing us closer to Your divine will for our lives.
Bless this lesson, bless our time together, and may all that we learn bring glory and honor to Your holy and righteous name.
Selah.
