Tefillah (Prayer) | Sabbath Day Prayer

Blessed are You, YAH our GOD, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us with Your commandments and commanded us to observe the holy Sabbath. A day set aside to be holy unto you and the children of Yisrael.

May this Sabbath be a time of rest and renewal for us. May we find peace and joy in Your presence. May we be filled with Your abundant love, wisdom, and praise, coming before you with thanksgiving as Psalm 95 verses 1 & 2 declare: “Come, let us sing for joy to YAH. Let us shout out praises to our Protector who delivers us.” (2) “Let us enter his presence with thanksgiving. Let us shout out to him in celebration.”

Help us to set aside the cares of the world and focus on You. May we use this time to connect with You through prayer, study, and meditation.

Bless our families and friends. May we share this day with those we love and those who love you. May we bring joy to their lives.

May this Sabbath be a foretaste of the world to come, where we will dwell in Your presence in the holy land in peace forever, praising your holy and righteous name in your holy Temple. Selah
