Tefillah (Prayer) | The Watchman’s Plea: A Covenant Cry for Life and Deliverance

O Mighty YAH, the Awesome and Revered Elohim, who inhabits eternity, we draw near to You with the hearts of children, ready to hearken. We stand in awe of Your wondrous power, seeking not the wisdom of the world, but the beginning of all true knowledge, which is the fear of You. Teach us, O Teacher of Israel, to walk in Your ways and live. I beseech you O Elohim for the ancient path, the path of our forefathers.

A Plea for Life and Truth

O King of Yisrael, You ask ‘who among us desires life and loves many days to see good?’ Our souls cry out in response that we long for that life. Yet, we confess that our path is often hindered by the desires of the world. We ask for Your strength to keep our tongues from the bitterness of evil and our lips from the tangled webs of guile. Let our speech be seasoned with the salt of integrity and our ways bear the fruit of righteousness, that our inward parts may reflect Your divine truth.

A Vow to Pursue Peace

We resolve this day to depart from evil and to do good. In a world of chaos and strife, grant us the steadfastness to not only seek peace but to pursue it with a relentless heart. We take comfort in knowing that Your eyes are ever upon the righteous, and Your ears are perpetually open to our cry. We do not walk unseen; we do not weep unheard. We cry out to an awesome and forgiving Elohim with the power to heal and deliver; with the power to forgive and show mercy; who visits the iniquity of the fathers upon those who hate You but who also shows mercy to those who love You and keep your commandments.

Comfort for the Vexed, Oppressed, & Depressed

We lift up those among us who are vexed, oppressed, and depressed in their spirit. You have promised to be nigh unto the brokenhearted and to save those of a contrite spirit. In our moments of deepest sorrow, let us feel the closeness of Your Presence. Though the afflictions of the righteous may be many, we hold fast to the promise that You shall deliver us out of them all.

  • Guard Our Heart: Even as we face trials and tribulations, keep our hearts faithful to You, ensuring that we don’t depart from the straight and narrow path that leads to deliverance.
  • Redeem Our Souls: We trust in Your hand to ransom us from the hands of wicked, evil, and deceitful men who conspire against your holy ones.
  • Avert Desolation: The wicked set traps for the righteous, but we find refuge in the Holy One of Yisrael.

A Cry for Deliverance

Hear us, O YAH, as we cry out in our troubles. We trust in Your power to deliver and Your mercy to redeem. Let our lives be a living testimony to Your faithfulness, a living scroll that declares Your goodness to all generations. We cast aside our own understanding to anchor ourselves upon the Rock of Yisrael, confident that those who place their trust in You shall never find themselves forsaken.

HalleluYAH.

GOD still loves you, Israel. The call remains the same: Choose Life, Choose Blessing, Choose Undivided Devotion. Repent, Return, and be free from the shadows of gross darkness.
